Our Direction

Our vision is to develop well-rounded, confident, and responsible individuals who, with support and excellent instruction, achieve their full potential. We will do this by providing a welcoming, safe, and encouraging learning environment that includes both academic and social-emotional support to propel them into their post-secondary lives. Embedded in this vision is the commitment to closing the opportunity gap for our traditionally marginalized students.

Our core values at Carrboro High School are collaboration, connections, and consistency. The faculty, staff, and administration value educating and supporting the whole child, emphasizing the development of academic and social-emotional knowledge and skills to ensure students have a successful four years at CHS. We understand that this success is achievable when our culture is collaborative, positive relationships are prioritized, and there is stability in our behavior, performance, and outcomes through adherence to our values. Additionally, we are committed to assisting all students in confronting injustice, promoting equity, and viewing each other through a strength-based lens.

Our mission is to build an inclusive school community that engages, empowers, and inspires our students.
