Schools may access the most recent published BMI data using the following website:

Arkansas Center for Health Improvement (ACHI) Public School BMI Reports

Body Mass Index (BMI)

The school has conducted an analysis of the School Level Body Mass Index screening data.
Develop a brief narrative of student BMI trends based on the analysis of the data.

The latest BMI data from 2018-2019 showed that 46.5% of 8th grade males and 51.5% of 8th grade females were overweight/obese. A trend is that anywhere from 46% -51% of 8th graders at MJHS fall into the overweight/obese category. 8th graders seem to be an at-risk grade level since nearly half fall into the overweight/obese category. Since 8th grade is the only grade that MJHS required to measure for BMI data, 8th grade is the at-risk grade level for overweight/ obese at MJHS. Sub-population data is neither required nor provided on the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement Public School BMI Reports.
